NAK 0.625x0.875x0.125 inch Metal Cased Lead-in Chamfer Nitrile Rubber Single Lip Rotary Shaft Oil Seal with Stainless Spring SM

NAK SM Nitrile Oil Seals: Oil seals are used in a variety of different applications in which a rotating shaft is lubricated by oil or grease. They are engineered to facilitate the smooth operation of your equipment, serving as a barrier to prevent the leakage of oils and greases while also keeping foreign substances from entering. SM type seals are used often in larger shaft sizes or when a smaller shaft requires extra strength. This is due to the metal-cased outside diameter which has a very stable construction and offers a better-protected sealing member in comparison to the open-backed style. The SM type oil seals feature a lead-in chamfer and have an additional inner rubber lining particularly fit for protecting the case from erosive fluid. The SM features a single-sealing nitrile rubber lip on the inside diameter. The SM types feature a garter spring which allows some give to prevent a build-up of friction. (Seals under 5mm width may not always feature a spring.)
